As I photograph families and have them naturally interact, I can truly see and feel the love that these families have for each other, one of my biggest motivations for what I do and why I love it so much!

I’ve always been a people person. Whenever I meet with a client, I love to connect with them on a deeper level so we can build a beautiful long-term relationship and I can capture your true essence.

When I deliver the final galleries to my clients, almost every person is joyfully surprised by the range of shots I’m able to capture (fun fact: I typically shoot about 300 photos in 15 minutes and am constantly shooting even when you have no idea! This allows me to capture the magical candids!)

I am very passionate about my clients’ experiences from the beginning to the end of the shoot. I highly value clarity and communication and will make sure you feel supported each step of the way. I do this by having an assistant join me during our sessions to help direct you to our location and make sure you have everything you need. Rest assured, we won’t start shooting until you feel present and comfortable.

Here are my all-time favorite things about being a family photographer…

favorite things

Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved art and photography, but it was my graduation trip to Europe that really got my artistic eye started. But then life got in the way (in a beautiful way), you know… life, career, marriage, kids…

When I became a mom, I became frustrated by the quality of my mobile phone photos and began hoping and wishing for a DSLR ‘real’ camera. In 2018 I was gifted my first DSLR, and I started taking photos of anything and anyone who would put up with the camera in their face…. I was absolutely hooked in capturing the true essence and beauty of people with my lens.

I started organically offering photography sessions for friends, and it grew from there. For years, I ran my photography business on the side of my full-time career as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. In 2021, I took the plunge and took my photography business full-time and was rewarded beautifully by welcoming more families into my Easter and spring sessions than ever before.

Today, I love working with heartfelt, loving families, couples, children, and individuals to capture their love in memories that will last a lifetime. There is no challenge I’m afraid to undertake as a photographer, so if you have a wild idea for a shoot, please feel free to bring it to me!
