As a Mom and a Columbus Ohio newborn, children’s, and family photographer, I am constantly on the hunt for Children’s & Baby Boutiques in Columbus Ohio! I know how difficult it can be to dress littles when they are constantly growing. And while some of the “big box” stores carry a wide variety of children’s and baby clothes that are cute and affordable, the clothing is not always durable.
The top 3 aspects I look for when searching for children’s & baby boutiques in Columbus are style, durability, and affordability. I love finding styles that show off the dynamic personalities that our littles have at each stage of their lives. But I especially love being able to support other local small businesses!

1.) Cub Shrub
Cub Shrub has an impressive selection of apparel and accessories for babies and children up to the age of 6! Their sizes are broken down by infant, from 0-24 months, to children from 2-5 years.
Scratching your head wondering what the difference is between 24 months and 2T? You’re not alone! This one took me a minute (and some endless Googling as well) to figure out! 24-month clothing is made for children aged 18 months up to 24 months. And it is designed to fit smaller rounder bodies. That lovely round baby belly typically goes away once they are in full-blown busy running around toddler mode! And size 2T clothing fits children 2 years and up and is designed for taller on-the-go bodies. Also, depending on the brand of clothing, the length will vary. You’ll also find a difference in bottoms from brand to brand as well. Typically brands up to 24 months will have bottoms made to fit diaper bums, and size 2T will be made to accommodate potty training for your big kids.
What I love about Cub Shrub is its endless selection of imaginative clothing. lilylimes is a fun Columbus Ohio children’s clothing boutique that prides itself on a collection of “fresh fun finds”. lilylimes is also a great children’s boutique in Columbus Ohio to stop at if you are on the hunt for an amazing gift for your child, a new family member, or your grandkids! They carry a selection of baby, toddler, and children’s clothing that also includes accessories, blankets, swaddles, fun teething toys, and mealtime goods. By the way, if you’re checking out the accessories be sure to look at the “baby-aitors”!
lilylimes has a beautiful selection of clothing with amazing designs and plenty of comfort. It’s definitely a must-see in-person shopping experience!!

Janie and Jack dresses children of all ages. Their selection of clothing ranges from baby sizes in 0-24 months, toddler sizes 2T-4T, kids sizes for boys and girls from 5-12 years, and tweens and teens from 8-18 years! From birth to High School graduation, they have a little bit of everything for the youngest members of your family. Janie and Jack is a design house that captures the essence of children at heart. They love to tell a story through their clothing and create collections that feature modern twists on classic children’s fashion. What I particularly love about Janie and Jack is that they pride themselves on making pieces to become keepsakes in your family, passed down from generation to generation. Isn’t that so special?

4.) The Bella Bean Shop
The Bella Bean Shop is an online shop who is based out of Columbus and they have an affinity for sugar and spice and all things monogrammed! Their homegrown operation grew in demand and quickly turned into an online boutique. Their mission is simple, if they wouldn’t dress their own children in it, you won’t find it on their website!
The clothing at the Bella Bean shop kicks off in size 3 months and goes all the way up to 8 years. You’ll find clothing for school, pajamas, collections by the season, and heaps of classic knits and gorgeous gingham! You can browse their website by littlest ones, little ladies, and little lads. The crisp look of their knits are so classic and makes such a great choice for gorgeous, timeless children’s photography.

Its founder, Jennifer, named the shop after her two children and she is a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word. Jamison and Bexley created adventurous clothing for adventurous kids. Their sizes range from infant to toddler and their mission is to draw out the sense of adventure, courage, artistic expression, and unique personality of your children! Pretty amazing right?! Jennifer founded the shop to provide affordable, age-appropriate clothing for littles that didn’t include statements plastered across the front.

Lottie Da Baby also calls Columbus home but runs its children’s and baby boutique from the digital space. What I especially love about Lottie Da Baby is that it’s a family-owned business that offers a curated assortment of unique handmade baby products. Their line of nursery bedding and accessories is beautifully designed and crafted by a team of talented seamstresses! Their specialty is crib bedding and they approach their aesthetic using vintage inspiration with a chic modern twist.
While you won’t find any clothing at Lottie Da Baby, you will find handmade nursery items that are stunningly beautiful. City Style carries globally inspired children’s clothing brands such as Mayoral, Tea, and Joules. They only select high-quality brands to offer in their shop. With sizes ranging from infant 0-24 months, and kid’s clothing from 2-9 years.
At City Style Childen’s Boutique, you’ll find a stunning selection of pretty pastels and buttery soft organic cotton classics. Either of those choices would be amazing for your children’s portraits, but if you want something truly special, or, if you’ve had your eye on one of my unicorn sessions, there is only one clear choice. Their butterfly dresses! If you have a little one that loves all things magical and fairytale you are going to fall in love with these dresses! They have a tulle overlay with sheer butterfly wings sewn into the back of the dress. The great thing about these dresses is that the wings are not obtrusive and or uncomfortable, itchy, or awkward for your fairy princess to wear!
