Capturing sweet baby Charley’s newborn portraits was such an honor!
Mom, Nikki, scheduled Charley’s session with me, but unfortunately, we had to move it back a week due to an unexpected NICU visit. This is such a great reminder that flexibility is so important, especially as a new parent. Things don’t always go as planned or as scheduled, but that’s ok! Your baby’s health and safety are of the utmost importance, in addition to Mom’s recovery and comfort level. Because of that, I am always open to rescheduling my newborn portrait sessions at a time that feels best for your family. Luckily, baby Charley made a quick and healthy recovery and I was able to see her in my studio within a week of her originally scheduled date.
This sweet little girl had her whole family at her side, loving on her during her visit to the NICU. For her portraits, she came into the studio with Mom and her brand-new Auntie! Her family is so close-knit and loving, it was beautiful to see how they watch over her. Nikki’s husband had hoped to attend the session but was due at work. So instead, Nikki brought along her little sister as her “assistant” for the day. She proved to be the perfect source of support. Having her in the studio alongside Nikki really was wonderful. I had the opportunity to get to know them both a bit more while capturing Charley sweetly slumbering away!
In order to capture those beautifully sleepy poses, we try to schedule your session with the “best” timing in mind. Basically, the best timing is what’s best for your baby! We want them to be happy and completely unbothered during their session. A sweetly sleeping baby ensures all of those beautifully swaddled, delicate poses. This allows me to capture those unforgettable moments of your sweet baby being so tiny and so loved and safe in your arms.
