It was such a joy to be baby Everly’s Columbus Newborn Photographer!
Everly’s Dad is friends with my husband! Such a small world isn’t it?! Over the years they have come to know each other through various golf leagues and tournaments. We also share many mutual friends, so it was only natural that our paths would eventually cross! When baby Everly’s mom reached out to me to capture her newborn portraits, I of course jumped at the chance and gave a resounding yes!
This little girl is the absolute sweetest! When you lay eyes on her you are going to fall in love with her squishy little cheeks. She also loves to eat! She had 3 bottles while I was there, which is amazing! Can I let you in on a little secret? My in-home sessions as a Columbus Newborn Photographer can take anywhere from 2-4 hours. In Everly’s case, we took our time and we wrapped the session in 4.5 hours. Here’s why that is such a convenience for my clients! If they need to stop for a bottle or take a nap or make a snack for the other littles in their house, that time frame is totally flexible and works for them! It allows us to move at a relaxed pace and make the session enjoyable for the entire family!
I have to admit, Everly’s session is a shining example of the importance of having your newborn session in-home. Everly had a severe case of FOMO! She was so taken by everything that was happening around her that she was afraid to doze off and risk the chance of missing out on the excitement. But, with plenty of patience, we got Everly to sleep and she did amazing for her portraits! Mom & Dad, and big sister even joined in on a few of the shots as well.
