As a family photographer in Columbus Ohio, I love meeting my families at Inniswood Metro Gardens for their photos! I have been acquainted with this family for years, so it was an honor to capture this moment for them! I have known Tammy and Eric, and their daughter Amber, since I was in elementary school. They have been close friends of my Dad’s and over the years our two families have always remained in touch with each other.
But, it was Amber who reached out to me to book this session! She was looking for a family photographer in Columbus who could provide her with some updated photos of her children. However, I encouraged her to make the most of her session by including some photos of her and her husband as well. I might’ve also encouraged them to bring along the grandparents too! Knowing that Amber and her husband lead such busy lives with four young children, I wanted to make sure that they squeezed every precious moment out of this session. I know how hectic life can get, especially when you are chasing after 3-year-old twins! But I also know the importance of capturing those family memories, while your children are still little.

When the day of their session arrived, we met at Inniswood Metro park for their photos. Being a family photographer in Columbus Ohio means having the knowledge of all the best local spots to hold sessions. And I couldn’t think of a better location to capture their photos! While we were there, we took a couple of group photos, of course. But I also wanted to capture Mom & Dad alone, as well as individual portraits of each of the children.
