Friends that become clients (or the other way around) are such blessings! I first met the “W” family at Vista Community Church in Dublin, Ohio about six years ago. We are in the same stage of life as them with little ones at home, and three out of the four of us have education degrees. We clicked almost instantly. When my husband and I decided to transition to a different church, we continued to remain in touch with this special family. Last fall, they reached out to me and asked if they could book a family photography session. They loved my work so much that they trusted me, yet again, to photograph their family this year. What an honor! Here are some of my favorite captures from their family photography session at Inniswood Metro Gardens in Westerville, Ohio.
All of my family photography sessions, regardless of length, include a wide variety of images. I always make a point to pull mom and dad aside and take a few shots of them without the kiddos. Let’s be honest, once you have kids the focus of your personal photos tend to shift away from just the two of you. Often times, Mom will share with me that she is almost always the one behind the camera and doesn’t have many photos of herself with her children. During my sessions, I always suggest taking a mom and kids photo for this very reason.
